Latest Products From Critical Tattoo Supply
Critical Tattoo Supply has been on a roll over the last couple of years with the introduction of some incredible new power supplies and foot pedals to the tattooing industry.
With various new products released, let’s take a look at what they have to offer tattoo artists.
Critical Universal Battery
Time to turn your favourite rotary tattoo machine into a wireless powerhouse with the Critical Universal Battery.
The Critical Universal Battery pack is compatible with most rotary tattoo machines and offers an ergonomic, balanced and intuitive user interface that provides true freedom while working – no cables or power supplies needed!
This battery pack features a Critical Core, which provides a consistent and stable voltage output. Depending on the voltage and machine used, the Critical Universal Battery will offer up to 10+ hours of running time.
Two versions of the Critical Universal Battery are available: one with an RCA connection and the other with a 3.5 mm (Cheyenne) connection.
To charge your Universal Batteries, Critical also released a docking station that is compatible with both connection types and is perfect for keeping your workstation organised while the battery packs are charging.
The Critical Universal Battery Dock also has a built-in magnetic base that allows tattoo artists to mount it on any metal surface for easy access during tattooing sessions.
Critical MNML Power Supply
The Critical MNML power supply offers steady voltage in its most basic, reliable form. No frills, just power!
You can easily adjust the voltage of the Critical MNML from 1.5 to 17 Volts at the turn of a dial and the power supply has a dense, durable plastic housing that is easy to cover and travel-ready.
The Critical MNML features a single-channel machine output, foot switch connection, anti-slip silicone base, and a 2-year warranty. It also contains built-in magnets for mounting to metal surfaces.
Made in the USA, the Critical MNML power supply is available in two colours: Black and Clear.
Critical XRR Power Supply
The Critical XRR which follows in the footsteps of the US manufacturer’s popular CX and XR branded power supplies.
Operating the Critical XRR power supply is done via a carefully-tuned, capacitive-touch user interface, which also has the benefit of making the XRR easy to cover for hygiene purposes.
The display of the Critical XRR shows several different settings, including volts, amps, speed, duty cycle, and settle – which is similar to follow-through. It can also record your session time with an hourly rate.
Thanks to the pedal override button, the Critical XRR power supply can be operated with or without a foot pedal. There is also a jump start mode option, which can be used for rotary tattoo machines that need an extra boost to get started.
Unlike previous Critical power supplies, the jump start feature and maintained pedal modes are now independently assignable to the preset and output buttons.
On the base of the Critical XRR is two independent inputs, allowing artists to connect two tattoo machines to this power supply at once. You can also run the Critical CXP19 wireless foot pedal with the XRR without the use of a cable (more on that below).
Critical CXP19 Wireless Foot Pedal
The Critical CXP19 wireless foot pedal is the perfect accompaniment to Critical's XRR power supply.
The CXP19 footswitch will connect to the Critical XRR without having to use a cable, which is great for cutting down the amount of cords lying around your workstation. However, you can also attach the Critical CXP19 to your power supply by using any standard clip cord, if you prefer.
You also don’t have to worry about wireless connectivity issues in your tattoo studio or at conventions as you can run as many CXP19 pedals as you want in one area without interference.
Compared to Critical's previous wireless foot pedals, the CXP19 features improved shielding to limit debris getting inside the unit. In addition, the use of one central switch, rather than multiple contact springs, results in a better response.
Furthermore, a non-skid rubber bottom will stop it moving around during tattooing, while its flat, compact shape means that it's easily bagged for hygiene purposes.
As well as selling them separately, we also offer the Critical XRR power supply and CXP19 wireless foot pedal in one wireless combo package.
If you’re unsure about which Critical power supply or foot pedal is right for you, please give us a call and we’ll be happy to find the one that is perfect for you!
