Tattoo Tea Party 2022 Preview
Back in business and celebrating its 10th year, the incredible Tattoo Tea Party returns to Manchester this April for another epic weekend of tattoo inspiration.
Held for the first time in the 7,000 sq. ft. Manchester Central from 9th-10th April, you can expect a bustling hall with 350 of the world’s finest tattoo artists in attendance, as well as a market featuring alternative clothing, art prints, jewellery, tattoo supplies, and much more!
Make sure you check out the stalls for pet and person portrait artist David Corden from Semper Tattoo, as well as Sam Barber and Amy Edwards from the local North of Winter studio for all things colour realism and pop culture. There’s also Laura Lenihan and Chanelle Jasmin, both from Six Bullets Tattoo in London, for all your blackwork and black and grey inking needs, along with mixed-style master Rich Harris from Dark Horse Collective.
If you manage to tear yourself away from the main convention hall, you’ll find full-sized bumper cars, weightlifting competitions, and the return of the Tea Party Fight Club, where you can duke it out with your mates using huge, padded boxing gloves!
And if you need more than stalls and activities, you’ll be glad to know that the Tea Party rounds up the coolest, freakiest performers for your entertainment. Appearing for the first time at Tattoo Tea Party are convention legends The Fuel Girls, bringing their mix of fire, aerial and red-hot alternative performance to the weekend.
For a little freakshow goodness, check out the Sin City Sideshow and Dr Phantasma’s Sideshow Stage, then wind down with a little neo-burlesque humour from North West legend Velma Von Bonbon.
Find an artist online to book with them directly for the day or take a chance on walk-up appointments over the weekend – plenty of artists will be more than happy to get you in the chair.
